The Lord Is Our Light in the Darkness

By Don Ruhl (March 21, 2007)

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Luke 1:57-80 today.

Zacharias, the father of John the Baptizer, prophesied of the work of his new born son, that he would prepare the way for the Lord. Then Zacharias said of the Lord when He would visit the earth that it was, "To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace" ( Luke 1:79). When you go through dark times, remember the Lord, that He is your light. We see dark times as inconveniences or as life not turning out the way that we want, but the Lord uses those times to draw us closer to Him.

What do you think you should do right now during a hard time that you are experiencing?
