The King and the Field

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ecclesiastes 4-6 today.

The king lives in high places; nevertheless, he still eats from the field. As Solomon wrote, "Moreover the profit of the land is for all; even the king is served from the field" ( Ecclesiastes 5:9). Therefore, everyone should take care of the land. No one should think he is greater than his fellow-man because when it comes down to it, we all eat from the same soil.
