Our Lives Affect Future Generations

Simeon and Levi killed all the males of the village in which the rapist of their sister lived. For that, Jacob said of their tribes, "I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel" ( Genesis 49:5-7).
That explains why the tribe of Levi did not have its own district like the other tribes had. The families of Levi possessed land scattered throughout the land of Israel, but you cannot look at a map and say that portion belonged to Levi.
Genesis 49 shows how the actions of the sons of Jacob affected their descendants. How will your life affect your descendants?
