Let the Student Support the Teacher

Read the Bible in a year by reading Galatians 6 today.

If a teacher or preacher works full-time for the church, how shall he support himself and his family? He charges no fee for his work. How then shall he have the things that those who are taught the word of God have? Paul instituted, "Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches" ( Galatians 6:6). Members of the church have needs and desires that need money to fulfill them. All full-time teachers and preachers and elders and others who give their lives to the church, also have those needs and desires. The Holy Spirit said
those taught need to make sure the full-time workers have those things fulfilled.
