Jesus Manifested in Us
Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Corinthians 4 today.
The context of Second Corinthians 4 is that of preaching the gospel. So much of what Paul said in that passage pertains to preachers, but preachers are leading the way, showing us how we are to live. Therefore, listen to Paul, "For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh" ( 2 Corinthians 4:11). Whether preparing to die or simply living, it was all for Jesus' sake that He might be manifested in the life of the preacher Paul. Yet, why was he living like that? It was to show the people to whom he preached that they should live that way also.
Do you look at your life that way? Do you live for Jesus that you might die for Him?
