How the Enemies of Jesus Saw Him

By Don Ruhl (April 4, 2008)

To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 15:27-47.

The enemies of Jesus showed their disdain for Him when they did this, "With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, 'And He was numbered with the transgressors'" ( Mark 15:27, 28). Jesus did associate with anyone who accepted Him, and that included those whom the Jews despised. Therefore, in His death they put with Him two transgressors who were worthy of crucifixion, placing Jesus right in the middle, as though He was the epitome of a transgressor.

Yet, Jesus did die for people such as those criminals all the way up the social ladder to the Jewish leaders. Somewhere along that social ladder, you and I belong. Did you know that Jesus Christ died for you? That is why He was crucified between transgressors.
