Residency

By J. Randal Matheny (June 24, 2005)

Lord, I want, more than anything else in this world, for you to live in my life. In this midst of all the requests, of all the activities, I want this one to be a "sticky," staying right up there at the top, where I'll always remember it and always pursue it. For if I don't have you in my life, nothing else really matters.

I know what I must do as well, Lord, for you to take up residence in my heart: to love your Son Jesus and obey his Word. Strengthen me to obey without question, to love without reserve.

I love you, Father, and want to know the love you have for those who open themselves completely to you. Because I see you in your Son. Amen.
