Lord

DURING THE FILMING of the classic 1958 western, Big Country, one of the actors, Charlton Heston, thought he could help the director by improving the dialogue in one scene...

During a break he walked over to William Wyler, the director, and picked up Wyler's copy of the script. When he did this the leather flyleaf opened and Heston saw stamped in small letters the titles of many of Wyler's most famous films. Seeing that list reminded the actor of the genius and ability of this director whose judgment he was thinking he could improve. Heston put the script down, and as he turned to walk away he said, "Forget it, I agree with you."

THOUGHT: This is fundamentally the attitude we as individuals should have when we want to propose to improve the Lord's will for us. We should forget it and agree with what He commanded us. (Monte Ginnings)
