OUR YOUNG PEOPLE need to be taught that they are someone's "special," someone's future husband or wife...
Accordingly, they are to keep themselves for that special someone. When a person defiles another of their virginity, that person has taken that which was another's, that which was not rightfully his or hers; and, consequently becomes a robber!
Our young people must be taught to guard their purity with unrelenting, jealous vigilance, keeping themselves pure, lovely and unhandled. They must not let another rob them. Then, when that special someone comes along, they can mutually speak those magic words, "I do" that will make them one (Matt. 19:3-9). Then, and only then, they can give themselves to each other unreservedly. To pursue any other course is fornication (1 Cor. 6:15-20; Gal. 5:19-21). (Wendell Winkler, deceased)
