CHECK OUT THESE impressive statistics on the power that Hoover Dam generates:

. Water falls 530 feet into the seventeen enormous Francis-type vertical hydraulic turbines, which have a rated capacity of three-million horsepower.

. In the record-setting year of 1984, the Hoover power plant yielded a net generation of 10,348,020,000 (that's billion with a "b") kilowatt-hours of power.

. Eleven cities in Nevada, Arizona, and Southern California rely on Hoover-generated kilowatts to light and power their communities, benefiting millions of people.

THOUGHT: The numbers are so huge that we cannot fathom how much power those generators produce. Yet, all of that incredible power is barely a drop in the bucket compared to the vast reservoir of power readily available to [us]: the power of prayer. (Every Man, God's Man)
