ONE OF MY favorite cartoon characters is the Roadrunner...
Don't laugh. You can learn a lot about life from the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. For example, when the coyote tries to trap his nemesis, he often piles bird seed along the side of the road. He even places a little sign with an arrow pointing to it that says "Bird Seed." When the Roadrunner comes by, he stops briefly at the bird seed, looks at it and, "Beep Beep," is on the way. He never gets caught. Never! And why? Because he is smart enough not to hang around what is obviously a trap set for him.
THOUGHT: How different it is for Christians. Satan will place a little pile of tempting sin along the road, he even labels it "Sin," and, predictably, we hang around and hang around until eventually we get caught. Who is smarter? The Roadrunner who doesn't get caught or a Christian who does? (Wood Kroll)
KneEmail: "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Cor. 10:13).
