We Must Obey God Rather Than Men

By Richard Mansel, managing editor (July 3, 2009)
bibleopen2.jpeg
by Pat Medlock It is a shame that government statutes or Presidential proclamations, which claim power and help from God in pledges and oaths, often fail to honor God as God (Romans 1:21). As such, circumstances continue to align themselves so that sanctified saints must pick a side: government or Godhead, the President or the Omni-Present.

Watching

By J. Randal Matheny (June 25, 2009)
One of my favorite pastimes is watching. Sometimes I just sit somewhere and watch people walk by. When my family lived in Missouri we would often sit by the Mississippi river and watch the boats go by. Watching the rain come down is another activity that I enjoy. Not by coincidence, watching is required of all Christians.

Were You Ready?

By J. Randal Matheny (June 12, 2009)
If you are a Christian, did you know what you were getting into when you were baptized? Did you understand the becoming a child of God would require you to give up some things? Did you know that people would not believe a change had taken place until they saw a change?

Because Of This The World Hates You

By Richard Mansel, managing editor (May 4, 2009)
by John E. Werhan On Sunday evening, April 19, 2009 hate raised it ugly head. The evidence of bigotry and narrow mindedness became evident when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton gave Miss California Carrie Prejean a zero for her answer to the question he posed. Not only did he make sure she would not win the title Miss USA but he also attacked her on his blog.

Don't Believe Everything You Hear

How Does God View Sin?

By Richard Mansel, managing editor (November 13, 2008)

by Charles Box Sin is a violation of the Law of God. First John 3:4 says,"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." "All unrighteousness is sin." (1 John 5:17) Sin is any action, word, thought or any failure to act that goes against the character of God or against faith and trust in Him.

by Dawn Pasley, Recently, my husband and I watched the new movie, "Fireproof." In this movie, one of the characters asked another, "Do you trust Him with your life?"
